Job summary

Automation Manufacturing Solutions Pte Ltd in Hong Kong is seeking a technical service professional to install, commission, and support automated equipment at customer sites. You will train customers, document service activities, and work with engineering to resolve issues.

Travel overseas on short notice is required. You will contribute to continuous improvement by capturing feedback and updating service records.

Qualifications

• Higher NITEC / ITC / Diploma in Electronics/Mechanical Engineering.
• Some experience in servicing automated / production equipment.
• Computer literate.

Responsibilities

• Set-up, install, buy-off and commission new equipment at customer sites.
• Ensure the machine is bought off smoothly at customer sites. Provide pre and post sales technical support to customers and upgrade equipment e.g. change-kits, new design modules, features and capabilities.
• Trouble-shoot machine issue and identify root cause(s) and provide solutions and rectify the issue.
• Work closely with Engineering and Manufacturing on design, quality and performance issues.
• Assist in overall machine performance evaluation with technical reports and feedback.
• Cost management to lower service support expenses during warranty and post warranty
• Provide technical training for customers on set-up, operations and maintenance.
• Update and maintain all service-related documentation or reports in databases (e.g. customer feedback system) for effective record, monitoring and resolution of customer issues
• Build and maintain strong customer relations on ground by providing good service support.
• Good communication skills.
• Work closely with the customer to resolve field issue and advice promptly when assistance needed from the customer.
