Job summary

Prudential plc is seeking an experienced Scrum Master to support one or two squads within an Agile Release Train (ART). The role involves coaching the squad, removing impediments, and ensuring effective events and continuous improvement across delivery teams.

You will report to the Release Train Engineer and work with offshore squads as needed. The ideal candidate has 4+ years in software delivery,SAFe Scrum Master or related certification, strong facilitation skills, and experience with

Qualifications

• 4+ years in software delivery
• 1+ years as Scrum Master preferred
• Experience with distributed/multi-vendor teams
• Knowledge of Scrum and Kanban frameworks
• Domain knowledge: insurance fundamentals

Responsibilities

• Facilitate team events: Iteration Planning, Backlog Refinement, Iteration Review, Retrospective, Team Sync.
• Remove impediments daily and escalate unresolved items within 48 hours.
• Coach squads toward self-management and backlog refinement; mentor Product Owner and in-squad facilitator.
• Own squad flow, WIP limits, and board metrics; ensure proper vendor participation.
• Prepare ART-level participation for PI Planning and System Demo readiness.
• Promote quality and continuous improvement, participate in Coach Sync and Scrum Master Community of Practice.
