Job Title: (Senior) Relationship Manager (Personal Banking, Cross-border, Branch Experience Required)

Candidates with less experience will be considered for the Relationship Manager title, while more experienced candidates will be considered for the Senior Relationship Manager title. Candidates with stable work history and 4 years of solid experience as Assistant Relationship Manager will also be considered.

Responsibilities

• Solicit new business, cultivate, and retain long-term client partnerships through regular portfolio reviews to ensure the bank remains the primary financial institution for clients.
• Conduct comprehensive financial assessments regarding customer financial positions, risk appetites, and life goals to deliver tailored wealth management and credit solutions.
• Expand the assigned customer portfolio of approximately 500 clients and proactively grow the client base through strategic networking, lead generation, and targeted marketing campaigns to meet revenue targets.
• Collaborate with specialist teams to deliver customized financial products and services, including insurance and investment products for high-net-worth clients with assets of HK$1,000,000 or above.
• Plan and execute in-branch and off-site promotional events to raise brand awareness and showcase new financial products to existing and prospective clients.
• Comply with all applicable rules, regulations, codes, guidelines, and standards set by regulatory bodies and internal bank policies with high integrity.
• Serve as a coach or mentor for subordinates and junior sales staff to groom new team members.
• Support branch transformation initiatives by gathering customer feedback to drive continuous service improvement.

Requirements

• Degree graduate with a minimum of 1.5 to 4 years of retail banking experience providing financial services to retail customers in a branch environment.
• Candidates with experience in managing and growing an assigned customer portfolio, as well as selling insurance and investment products to high-net-worth clients, are highly preferred.
• Mandatory completion of IIQE Papers 1, 2, 3, and 4 before employment commencement.
• Mandatory completion of HKSI Papers 1, 7, and 8 (or equivalent / possessing Exempted or Qualified Securities Dealer status) before employment commencement.
• Mandatory completion of the Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) examination before employment commencement.
• Sound knowledge of retail banking products, services, and sales compliance guidelines, alongside a proactive, customer-focused, and mature demeanor.
• Fluency in spoken and written English (at least HKDSE Level 4) and Mandarin (at least CRE Level 1 or equivalent for cross-border roles) is required, while Cantonese-speaking ability is preferred but at least understanding Cantonese is required for cross-border roles.
• Relevant qualifications from HKIB, such as HKIB Certified Banker, are advantageous.
