Job summary

OCBC Bank (Hong Kong) Limited is recruiting a Senior Relationship Manager for Emerging Business (SME) to deliver wealth management and personal banking solutions through the branch network in Central and Western District. You will build and deepen client relationships, perform financial needs analyses, and tailor products to clients’ goals and risk profiles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification.
• IIQE, HKSI, MPF, and CFP® certifications are highly desirable.
• Certified Banker (CB) professional qualifications will be an advantage.
• Minimum 2 years solid experience in retail banking with knowledge of investment and insurance products; corporate banking exposure helpful.
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to drive referrals across teams.
• Excellent written and spoken English and Chinese; Putonghua is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted advisor and deliver wealth management and personal banking solutions to customers through the branch network.
• Build, nurture, and deepen long-term relationships with existing and prospective clients to drive loyalty and growth.
• Conduct thorough financial needs analyses to understand customers' banking, investment, insurance, and wealth management requirements.
• Recommend and tailor financial products and services based on customers' goals, risk appetite, and needs.
• Collaborate with internal partners to identify referral opportunities and promote cross-selling to grow revenue.
• Partner with Branch Managers, District Managers, Investment Specialists, Wealth Coaches and others to develop a robust sales pipeline and meet targets.
• Ensure all activities comply with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and AML standards.
• Provide coaching and knowledge sharing to junior team members when required.
• Support branch-based and external marketing campaigns, customer events, and promotional activities.

• Build, nurture, and deepen long-term relationships with both existing and prospective clients to drive customer loyalty and business growth.
• Conduct thorough financial needs analyses to understand customers' banking, investment, insurance, and wealth management requirements.
• Recommend and tailor suitable financial products and services based on customers' financial goals, risk appetite, and banking needs.
• Collaborate with internal partners to identify referral opportunities and promote cross-selling initiatives that contribute to sustainable revenue growth.
• Partner closely with Branch Managers, District Managers, Investment Specialists, Wealth Coaches, and other stakeholders to develop a robust sales pipeline and achieve business targets.
• Ensure all sales activities and customer interactions comply with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and anti-money laundering (AML) standards.
• Provide coaching, guidance, and knowledge sharing to junior team members when required.
• Support and participate in branch-based and external marketing campaigns, customer events, and promotional activities to enhance business development efforts

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification; professional certifications such as IIQE, HKSI, MPF, and CFP® are highly desirable.
• Possession of Certified Banker (CB) professional qualifications and/or industry awards will be an advantage.
• Proven experience in managing, developing, and expanding a client portfolio with demonstrated business results.
• Minimum 2 years of solid experience in retail banking, with strong knowledge of investment and insurance products; exposure to corporate banking products and services would be beneficial.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to drive referrals and uncover cross-selling opportunities across different business teams.
• Fast learner with strong adaptability and resilience in a dynamic and rapidly evolving business environment.
• Customer-centric mindset with an excellent ability to identify client needs and build lasting relationships with both individual and business customers.
• Self-motivated, proactive, independent, and professional, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent written and spoken English and Chinese; proficiency in Putonghua is an added advantage.
• Candidates with less relevant experience may be considered for the position of Deputy Relationship Manager, Wealth Management.
