Job summary

Jardine Engineering Corporation (JEC) invites applications for a senior quantity surveying role in Hong Kong. The successful candidate will support commercial management on contracts, handle budgets, forecasts and payments, and assist in procurement.

Strong English and Chinese skills are required, with membership of HKIS/RICS preferred. Experience levels differ by PQS or SQS tracks, with a focus on accurate financial reporting and contract administration within a leading Asia-Pacific engineering

Qualifications

• University degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 years for PQS role or minimum 9 years for SQS role.
• Professional membership of HKIS / RICS or other relevant professional body.
• Good command of English and Chinese.

Responsibilities

• Assist the project commercial manager in handling contractual and commercial matters for assigned contracts.
• Manage project financial matters including budget review, forecast, reconciliation, payments and reporting.
• Assist in procurement of materials, equipment, works and services.
• Manage changes to contracts, raise entitlement for changes and time, and compile contemporaneous records.
• Handle contractual correspondence.

Job Duties

• Assist the project commercial manager in handling contractual and commercial matters of the assigned contract(s).
• Manage project financial matters including budget review/forecast/reconciliation, payment and project finance reporting.
• Assist in procurement of materials, equipment, works and services.
• Manage changes to the contract including pursue the entitlement of changes, additional payment and/or time under the contract, compiling claims for changes/additional payment and time, and consolidate contemporary records.
• Handle contractual correspondence.

Job Requirements

• University Degree in Quantity Surveyor/Engineering/Equivalent.
• Minimum 6 years for PQS / minimum 9 years for SQS.
• Professional member of HKIS/RICS/other relevant professional institution.
• Good command of English and Chinese.
• Familiar with MS office, programming software.
