Job summary

DJRecruit Asia is seeking a Python Developer for a Global Fintech Firm in Hong Kong. You will join a real-time processing team building front-to-back office systems and contribute to scalable backend services.

The role requires 5+ years of Python development, experience with Django or FastAPI, and strong knowledge of microservices, REST APIs, and data structures. A degree in engineering or CS is preferred, with opportunities for bonus compensation.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of professional Python development experience.
Proven track record designing and building enterprise-grade applications.
Degree in engineering, computer science, or related discipline preferred.
Expertise in Python and its core ecosystem (Django or FastAPI, Pandas/Polars).
Solid grounding in modern IT practices (microservices, REST APIs, HTTP-based integrations).
Familiarity with AI concepts (machine learning, large language models) is advantageous.
Ability to design effective data structures (relational databases, JSON, etc.).
Strong command of the full software development lifecycle, including Agile methods and testing frameworks.

Responsibilities

Design and build software components in line with established engineering standards
Partner with the product team to define and deliver new capabilities and services
Operate within a DevOps culture and agile delivery model
Ensure all deliverables satisfy defined acceptance criteria
Own and evolve core Python modules covering lifecycle event handling, booking processes, and analytics reporting
Develop a solid understanding of the platform’s business functionality
