Job summary

DBS Group in Hong Kong seeks an senior professional to manage the integration of the securities trading business into its Global Financial Market operations. You will align systems, processes, and workflows and lead cross-functional projects including market initiatives and post-trade improvements.

The role requires 10+ years in equity products with 3+ years in project management, and a track record in large-scale financial integrations. Strong communication with senior management is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience with equity-based products, including at least 3 years in project management.
• Strong preference for investment bank equity trading experience.
• Proven experience in large-scale business integration, process transformations, or mergers within financial institutions.
• Solid project management skills, leading cross-functional teams during business integration processes.
• Strong understanding of securities trading flow, systems, processes, platforms, post-trade processes, risk management systems and financial products.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of explaining complex concepts and collaborating with senior management.
• Fulfillment of Enhanced Competency Framework on Treasury Management is a plus.
• Candidate with less experience would be considered as AVP

Responsibilities

• Support the integration of the securities trading business into the bank's Global Financial Market operations, ensuring alignment of systems, processes, and workflows.
• Lead or support key projects, including alignment of market initiatives (HK T+1 settlement cycle, USM), trading platforms, reporting systems, and post-trade processes.
• Participate in initiatives, projects or process changes as required by HK, Group of DBS Group.
• Work with Front Office, IT, Risk, Compliance and Operations to ensure successful integration and mitigate disruptions.
• Develop and manage project timelines, ensuring deliverables are met on schedule and within budget.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to resolve issues during integration, ensuring minimal disruption to trading activities.
• Manage vendor contractors in terms of SLA; set up SLAs with Supporting Units and monitor existing SLAs.
• Serve as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders, providing updates on progress, challenges, and risks.
• Facilitate communication between Trading teams, Technology, Operations, Risk and Compliance, and other units.
• Communicate project objectives, timelines, and progress to senior management and stakeholders.
• Provide ongoing post-integration support, monitor effectiveness, and identify areas for continuous improvement and optimizations.
• Ensure sustainability of the integrated business model with procedures and risk controls.
• Drive strategic cost management and annual budget planning.
