South China Morning Post seeks a Senior Product Designer to bridge editorial storytelling with cutting-edge tech, delivering intuitive, accessible experiences across web, mobile, and newsroom tools.
You will design end-to-end flows, contribute to the design system, and develop growth-focused campaigns to improve subscriptions and retention. This hybrid role combines product UX with promotional creative, collaborating across editorial, product, and engineering teams.
At the South China Morning Post, we are redefining how the world consumes news. We aren't just building interfaces; we are crafting intelligent, personalized, and multi-modal experiences for a global audience.
As a Senior Product Designer, you will bridge the gap between complex editorial storytelling and cutting-edge technology, ensuring our digital ecosystem is intuitive, accessible, and high-performing. This is a hybrid role: you'll split your time between core product design (reader journeys, newsroom tools, design systems) and growth design (promotional campaigns, paywall and subscription experiences, conversion-focused creative).
We're looking for a versatile, craft-obsessed designer with 5+ years of experience who's genuinely energised by moving between structured product problems and high-visibility promotional creative - not someone doing one as a favour to the other.
Work location will be at Causeway Bay office.
