Job summary

Defond Electrical Industries Limited, based in Tai Koo, Eastern District, Hong Kong, seeks a Manager - Product Compliance & Certification to lead compliance across manufacturing operations. You will oversee certification activities, regulatory adherence, and documentation, collaborating with product development and manufacturing teams.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field and at least 5 years of experience in electrical product compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality management, regulatory affairs, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in product compliance, certification, or quality assurance within manufacturing or electrical industries.
• Solid knowledge of international compliance standards and certifications for electrical products.
• Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks across Asia-Pacific markets.
• Proven experience managing relationships with certification bodies and regulatory authorities.
• Excellent project management, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency with compliance management systems and documentation software.
• Excellent written and verbal English; Mandarin proficiency is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement product compliance and certification strategies aligned with international standards.
• Manage certification processes for new and existing products with external bodies and authorities.
• Conduct risk assessments and audits to identify regulatory gaps and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain comprehensive compliance documentation and certificates for all products.
• Stay updated with evolving regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Guide engineering and manufacturing teams on compliance impacts during design and production.
• Prepare and present compliance reports to senior management and external stakeholders.
• Manage supplier compliance and contractual adherence.
