Job summary

Hong Kong Applied Science and Technology Research Institute (ASTRI) is seeking an Assistant Officer to join its Procurement team on a renewable contract. You will handle purchasing requests, supplier management, and procurement documentation to support R&D activities.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree in business or related field, at least 3 years of purchasing experience, and proficiency with Excel/Power Platform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of purchasing experience in a sizable organization.
• Knowledge in sourcing and procurement of corporate services, IT items or R&D products/services.
• Proactive, detail oriented with strong analytical skills and good interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in English, Cantonese and Putonghua is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for procurement activities, including purchase requisitions, sourcing, quotation analysis, and purchase orders.
• Negotiate with vendors on price and business terms and finalize purchases.
• Oversee fixed asset management activities of the company.
• Maintain documentation and track transactions for audit trails.
• Support ad-hoc projects and prepare reports for management.
