Job summary

Cathay Pacific is seeking a senior Network Infrastructure Engineer to drive design, delivery, and support of the company’s global network. You will help ensure secure, reliable platforms and collaborate with solution architects, IT strategy, and vendors across multi-cloud and on-prem environments.

You will lead changes, apply modern networking practices, and support 24/7 operations to keep Cathay's people and customers connected as part of a broader infrastructure roadmap.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline with at least 6 years IT experience, including 3+ years in IT infrastructure.
• Proven experience in complex IT infrastructure with a broad technology understanding.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills for cross-functional stakeholders.
• Ability to support 24/7 operations when required.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, support, and maintain network infrastructure platforms.
• Lead lifecycle documentation and patch management decisions.
• Implement infrastructure solutions and manage changes across the lifecycle.
• Evaluate emerging technologies to deliver innovative infrastructure capabilities.
• Track infrastructure requirements and manage dependencies, risks, assumptions, issues, and changes.
• Resolve operational incidents and improve platform stability and performance.
• Plan and manage BAU infrastructure changes and ensure high service levels.
• Collaborate with architects, strategy teams, project managers, vendors, and IT colleagues to align with Cathay's roadmap.
• Communicate designs, recommendations, trade-offs, and guidance to stakeholders.
