Job summary

Principle Partners Pte Ltd is seeking a Middle Office / Trade Support professional to join its growing operations team. The role offers broad exposure across equities, derivatives, corporate actions, P&L reconciliation, and external counterparty management.

The successful candidate will work closely with traders, prime brokers, compliance, and legal teams to ensure accurate trading activity, portfolio positions, and operational processes across markets.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years in Middle Office or Trade Support in buy-side or sell-side.
• Experience with reconciliations of P&L, positions and cash.
• Knowledge of equities, ETFs and equity derivatives.
• Familiarity with corporate actions processing and portfolio impacts.
• Understanding of prime brokers, custodians and clearing workflows.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritise in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Experience with SQL, Python, VBA or automation is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily reconciliation of positions, cash balances, trades and portfolio activity ahead of market open.
• Reconcile front-office P&L estimates against prime broker and counterparty reporting.
• Investigate and resolve cash, position and P&L breaks, including corporate actions and settlement activities.
• Monitor and analyse accruals, financing costs, interest charges and trading-related costs.
• Validate end-of-day pricing and support valuation control processes.
• Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of corporate actions (splits, mergers, etc.).
• Collaborate with traders to provide an accurate view of tradeable positions and issues before market open.
• Liaise with prime brokers, custodians, exchanges and counterparties to resolve discrepancies.
• Support margin management and monitor funding obligations across portfolios.
• Assist onboarding of new brokers/counterparties in partnership with Legal and Compliance.
