Job summary

AIA Group is seeking a Finance Analyst to support IFRS 17-related results analytics, with country support on financial analysis and advice on business and model changes. You will consolidate IFRS analytics, produce commentary, and coordinate materials for management meetings.

The role requires actuarial or finance qualifications, strong analytical skills, and experience with IFRS 17 reporting. Chinese language skills are preferred and proficiency in Office and data tools is expected.

Qualifications

• Degree/Master in actuarial science, finance, accounting or related field.
• Actuarial qualification or progress through actuarial exams.
• Strong understanding of financial reports and insurance business.
• Experience with IFRS 17 reporting.
• Experience with publicly traded company is preferred.
• Fluent Chinese language is preferred; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Consolidate, review and analyze IFRS 9 & 17 analytics and disclosures.
• Produce commentary and Q&A docs for management and auditors.
• Point of contact with local business units on IFRS analytics.
• Collect, interpret and review financial info and visualizations.
• Produce quarterly results-related financial reports.
• Develop financial info models, databases and dashboards.
• Coordinate materials for management meetings and presentations.
• Support IFRS 17 projects and issues management.
• Review IFRS 17 guidance and methodology periodically.

About the Role

Support the result announcement process and provide insightful analyses to support management's decision making on IFRS 17-related results analytics, including country support on financial analysis and advice on business and model changes.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Consolidate, review and analyze the Group IFRS 9 & 17 monthly reported financial analytics and quarterly disclosures including disclosure notes with high quality and deal with relevant Q&A's with the auditor.
• Produce commentary on IFRS analytics to stakeholders including financial Q&A documents and any related deliverables as requested by management.
• Be point of contact and proactively work with local business units on result announcement related, IFRS analytics and any IFRS-related matters
• Collect, interpret and review financial information and data visualization
• Produce financial reports related to quarterly results announcement
• Analyze and summarize financial and operational information to support management in driving business forward
• Support development of financial information models, database and dashboards
• Coordinate logistics and prepare materials for management meetings and presentations
• Coordinate IFRS 17-related projects and business initiatives and issues management
• Periodically review of the allocated sections of IFRS 17 application guidance and methodology specification.

Minimum Job Requirements

• Degree/Master holder in actuarial science / finance / accounting or other business disciplines
• Qualified Actuary, or good progress in actuarial professional examination
• Strong understanding of financial reports and insurance business
• Experience in IFRS 17 reporting
• Experience with publicly traded company is preferred
• Team player, driven, self-motivated, flexible and enjoy challenges
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication (verbal, written, graphic) and presentation skills fluent in spoken and written Chinese is preferred
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and experience in data analytics tools is preferred
