Job summary

AIA Hong Kong and Macau is seeking an actuary to support IFRS 17 analytics and financial reporting. You will consolidate monthly analytics, prepare disclosures, and provide senior management with insights and commentary.

You will work with local business units on IFRS matters, build financial models and dashboards, and coordinate with auditors. Strong communication and actuarial progress are required, with fluency in Chinese preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree or master in actuarial science/finance/accounting or related business field.
• Qualified Actuary or progressing actuarial exams.
• Strong understanding of financial reports and insurance business.
• Experience in IFRS 17 reporting.
• Experience with publicly traded company preferred.
• Team player, self-motivated, flexible and able to handle challenges.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; fluent in Chinese preferred.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel and PowerPoint; data analytics tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Consolidate, review and analyze IFRS 9 & 17 monthly analytics and quarterly disclosures.
• Produce commentary on IFRS analytics for management Q&A documents.
• Be point of contact with local units on IFRS analytics and IFRS-related matters.
• Collect, interpret and review financial information and data visualization.
• Produce financial reports related to quarterly results announcements.
• Analyze and summarize financial and operational information to support management.
• Support development of financial information models, databases and dashboards.
• Coordinate logistics and prepare materials for management meetings.
• Coordinate IFRS 17-related projects and issues management.
• Periodically review IFRS 17 guidance and methodology specification.
