Job summary

AIA Hong Kong and Macau seeks an experienced actuary to govern, manage and execute actuarial system changes across IFRS17, EV reporting and budgeting for all BUs. The role emphasizes governance, data integrity and cross-functional collaboration to deliver robust models and timely insights.

You will lead model change prioritisation, production support, and training programs while working with groups across actuarial, IT and business units to strengthen governance and risk management.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12-year experience in life insurance industry and 8 years of management experience.
• Qualified actuary or equivalent.
• Processes advanced skills on Prophet, Excel, Alteryx, Python, Power BI or Power Point.
• Strong problem solving, reporting, communication, project management and people management skills.
• Good command of written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Govern, manage and execute the actuarial system change.
• Align the actuarial model risk policy to enhance governance of the actuarial model.
• Support actuarial model governance committee with stakeholders to prioritise model changes.
• Manage the model production and work with ASSC, LBU and IT on production issues.
• Train up Prophet experts in LBU and support training programs.

About the Role

Govern, manage and execute the actuarial system change for IFRS17, EV reporting, Economic Capital, GIECA, Pricing function, Stressed capital calculation and Budgeting function for all BUs in AIA.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Work with stakeholders to come up with a solution to meet stakeholder’s need in respect of data, technology, process, finance, actuarial or modeling areas.
• Govern, manage and execute the actuarial system change
• Align the actuarial model risk policy to enhance the governance of the actuarial model
• Support actuarial model governance committee with all stakeholders to prioritize the model change request and execute the model change.
• Manage the model production
• Work with ASSC, LBU and IT to manage all production issues.
• Train up prophet experts in LBU
• Support the training program to train up prophet experts in LBU
