Job summary

Hong Kong Housing Society is seeking a Senior Manager (Construction) – Foundation for a 2 year contract to lead on-site delivery, coordinate consultants and contractors, and drive foundation and substructure works to timely completion.

The role requires a degree in Building/Engineering/Architecture with recognised professional qualifications (e.g., MCIOB, MHKICM, MHKIE) and at least 15 years in construction management, including 5 years in a senior managerial capacity.

Qualifications

• Degree in Building, Engineering or Architecture with recognised professional qualifications.
• Minimum 15 years in construction management, with at least 5 years in a senior managerial role.
• Extensive foundation and substructure experience, including excavation and piling.
• Demonstrated track record managing full construction cycles for residential projects.
• Thorough knowledge of Buildings Ordinance and applicable Codes of Practice.
• Strong leadership and coordinating skills across multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficient in English and Cantonese, with good communication.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple site construction projects with emphasis on foundation and substructure.
• Lead site teams including Clerks of Works and Resident Engineers to ensure coordination.
• Implement quality, safety and HKHS compliance across all construction stages.
• Monitor progress to identify delays, issues, or risks during foundation work.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, consultants and contractors across lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, safety and environmental requirements, especially during excavation and piling.
• Endorse engagement of contract site staff with appropriate competency.
• Oversee handover and address defect rectification and complaints.
