Job summary

CITIC Securities International Company Limited is seeking an experienced Linux Administrator with DevOps expertise to own and support container/Kubernetes platforms running on VMware Tanzu. The role requires strong RedHat Linux skills, OpenShift/Kubernetes experience, and automation proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or higher in IT/Computer or related studies.
• 8-10 years experience as a Linux Administrator with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure etc.).
• In-depth knowledge of Linux: RedHat physical and virtual environments.
• Experience with OpenShift/Kubernetes deployed in internal infra.
• Hands-on with physical/VM server deployments and commissioning.
• Experience with HPE or other server hardware architectures.
• Expert in automation using Ansible or similar tools.
• Capable of automation using scripting languages such as Shell, Perl, and/or Python.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills in English and Chinese.
• Additional Linux certifications (RHCT, RHCE) are a plus.
• Knowledge of containers/Docker, Tanzu, Kubernetes, VMware, and SAN management.

Responsibilities

• Proactively maintain and develop Linux infrastructure to support 24x7 service.
• Maintain best practices across environments.
• Provide L1-L3 server support.
• Manage upgrades, patches, and hot fixes on servers.
• Create/modify scripts or applications to automate tasks.
• Suggest improvements for stability, security, efficiency, and scalability.
• Collaborate to develop automation strategies and deployment processes.
• Provide weekend and on-call support as needed.
• Participate in Disaster Recovery and BCP drills.
• Manage physical servers via remote access and VMs in ESX and AWS.
• Build new physical and virtual servers per standards.
• Fault finding and logging for performance reporting.
• Monitor system performance and capacity planning.
• Knowledge of cluster software and databases on servers.
