Job summary

The Hong Kong Polytechnic University College of Professional and Continuing Education invites applications for a Lecturer/Appointee to contribute to teaching, programme planning and development, and to quality assurance in social work education.

The appointees are expected to lead teaching initiatives, engage in research and scholarly activities, liaise with industry and professional bodies, and perform duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• PhD or Doctoral degree in related disciplines.
• Solid teaching, research/scholarship and/or industrial experience.
• Registered Social Worker certificate with 5+ years post-degree practice, preferably in social work in community/macroe practice.
• Excellent teaching performance.
• Good academic leadership in programme management and development.
• Strong research record or professional engagement.
• Good communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Engage in teaching, programme/curriculum planning and development.
• Provide academic leadership in teaching-related activities.
• Contribute to programme validation and quality assurance.
• Carry out research and scholarly work.
• Carry out academic and administrative duties.
• Liaise with industries, professional bodies and organisations, and
• Perform any other duties as assigned.
