Job summary

UOW College Hong Kong invites applications for a Senior/Principal Lecturer or Assistant/Associate Professor in Social Work. The appointee will contribute to the Master of Social Science in Social Work Programme (part-time) and may teach other social work programmes.

Responsibilities include curriculum development, fieldwork coordination, student placement supervision and accreditation support. The role requires a doctoral degree in Social Work, at least five years of relevant post-degree

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Social Work or related discipline required.
• Minimum of five years of full-time-equivalent post-degree professional practising experience.
• A research track record or substantial management experience in social service agencies.
• Registration as a Registered Social Worker with the Social Workers Registration Board.

Responsibilities

• Teach Master of Social Science in Social Work Programme (part-time mode) and other social work programmes as needed.
• Engage in programme and course development and curriculum delivery.
• Coordinate fieldwork including liaising with placement agencies and supervising student placements.
• Organise pre-placement preparation and other student learning activities.
• Support student recruitment and programme promotion; engage in professional networking and stakeholder engagement.
• Contribute to quality assurance, accreditation documentation and related academic reviews.
