The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA) invites applications for a Senior Lecturer in Musicianship, Leadership and Professional Practice. The appointee will connect advanced musicianship with conducting, rehearsal and ensemble practice across departments.

Reporting to the Head of Academic Studies in Music, the appointee will contribute to leadership, collaboration and curriculum development, with emphasis on professional practice and international engagement.

Qualificações

• A recognised postgraduate degree or equivalent professional qualification (preferably a doctoral degree) in music or a related discipline.
• Expertise in advanced musicianship and one or more areas: conducting, orchestral/ensemble studies, music theory and analysis, collaborative practice, cultural leadership, creative entrepreneurship or professional music practice.
• Minimum six years of relevant teaching experience at tertiary, conservatoire or equivalent professional-training level; professional conducting/performing experience would be an advantage.
• Proven record of effective teaching and assessment across undergraduate and/or postgraduate programmes.
• Experience in curriculum design, course development and quality assurance.
• Experience supervising independent studies, research projects or professional-practice outputs.
• Strong record of collaborative work across disciplines, departments or professional contexts.
• Active professional, scholarly or creative profile relevant to the post.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, organisational and leadership skills.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English; fluency in Chinese (Putonghua/Cantonese) is an advantage.
