The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA) invites applications for a Senior Lecturer in Musicianship, Leadership and Professional Practice. The successful candidate will connect advanced musicianship with conducting, rehearsal, and ensemble practice while shaping leadership, collaboration, creative entrepreneurship and professional development across the School of Music.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate degree or equivalent in music; doctoral preferred.
• Expertise in advanced musicianship with experience in conducting or ensemble studies.
• Minimum six years of teaching at tertiary/conservatoire level; professional conducting experience a plus.
• Proven record of teaching and assessment across undergraduate/postgraduate programmes.
• Experience in curriculum design and course development.
• Experience supervising independent studies, portfolios or professional-project outputs.
• Strong collaborative/interdisciplinary work across departments.
• Active professional, scholarly or creative profile relevant to the post.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, organisational and leadership skills.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English; fluency in Chinese (Putonghua/Cantonese) an advantage.
