Job summary

Michael Page International (HK) Ltd in Hong Kong seeks a Project Manager to oversee technology-driven projects and ensure on-time delivery aligned with organisational objectives. This temporary role focuses on driving innovative IT initiatives in the insurance sector.

You will manage end-to-end projects, empower cross-functional teams, and collaborate with external partners to deliver high-quality solutions and effective change adoption.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of experience managing large-scale technology, transformation, or business change projects within financial services or other regulated industries.
• Proven experience delivering complex projects involving system implementation, business process enhancement, or digital transformation.
• Strong project management, stakeholder engagement, and vendor management capabilities.
• Solid understanding of project governance, risk management, SDLC methodologies, and compliance requirements.
• Exposure to emerging technologies, digital platforms, cloud solutions, AI, or automation initiatives is advantageous.
• Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, Scrum, or equivalent are preferred.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English and Chinese, including Putonghua.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage end-to-end technology and business transformation projects, ensuring successful delivery from initiation through implementation and post-deployment support.
• Drive strategic initiatives to enhance operational effectiveness, customer experience, and business capabilities through technology solutions.
• Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, resources, risks, and stakeholder expectations to achieve project objectives.
• Establish and maintain effective governance, project controls, and reporting mechanisms throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to deliver high-quality solutions aligned with business priorities.
• Oversee system development, testing, release management, and deployment activities to ensure smooth project execution.
• Provide regular project updates, insights, and recommendations to senior stakeholders and leadership teams.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and promote best practices in project management and delivery.
• Support organizational change initiatives and drive adoption of new technologies and processes.
