Job summary

The Hong Kong Academy for Gifted Education (HKAGE) is seeking an experienced Head of IT to lead strategic planning, governance and operations of the Academy's information technology landscape.

Responsibilities include developing long-term IT roadmaps, overseeing cybersecurity, cloud services and digital platforms, managing IT projects and vendor relationships, and ensuring compliance with data privacy and security standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline.
• Postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline would be an advantage.
• At least 6 years of relevant IT experience including supervisory or senior capacity.
• Experience in IT policies, governance, data privacy and security controls.
• Good knowledge of cybersecurity, cloud technologies and emerging tech.

Responsibilities

• Develop, formulate, implement and review the Academy’s long-term IT roadmap and annual IT plans.
• Lead IT governance, cybersecurity, compliance and risk management initiatives.
• Oversee IT infrastructure, systems and operations including Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online and learning platforms.
• Manage IT projects from requirements to post-implementation reviews.
• Coordinate procurement, vendor and contract management for IT services.
• Supervise IT team and provide user support and training.
• Ensure documentation, reporting and audit readiness for IT operations.
