Job summary

Chun Wo Construction Holdings Company Limited in Hong Kong seeks a senior geotechnical engineer to lead on-site geotechnical and tunnelling works, oversee foundation and slope structures, and coordinate with stakeholders.

You will manage tunnelling works, geotechnical monitoring and demolition of existing structures while ensuring compliance with specs, safety and quality. A corporate HKIE membership and extensive underground project experience are required.

Qualifications

• Corporate HKIE member or equivalent, acceptable to Project Manager.
• 10+ years post-qualification experience in supervising design/construction of underground tunnels/caverns.
• At least 5 years of relevant tunnel/cavern construction experience.
• Proven geotechnical and underground works project track record.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all geotechnical and tunnelling works on site.
• Oversee foundation works, slope works, earth-retaining structures, excavation and lateral support (ELS) systems.
• Manage tunnelling works, geotechnical monitoring and demolition of existing structures.
• Ensure works are carried out in compliance with project specifications, safety, quality and statutory requirements.
• Provide technical leadership and coordinate with project stakeholders on geotechnical and construction-related matters.
