Job summary

IQ-EQ Hong Kong is seeking a qualified Senior Accountant to support designated Private Equity clients. You will review financial statements, capital calls, and distributions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness while maintaining strong client relationships.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, CPA or equivalent, 3–4 years of accounting experience, and advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables). Knowledge of private equity terms is a plus.

  • CPA or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
  • 3–4 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Strong client relationship management and timely deliverables.
  • Intermediate Excel skills, Pivot Tables and data analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary contact for designated Private Equity clients via phone and email.
  • Coordinate with internal support teams to ensure on-time client deliverables.
  • Review financial statements, disclosures, capital calls and distributions for accuracy.
  • Liaise with external auditors and support interim/year-end audits.
  • Build and maintain relationships through an understanding of governing documents.

Job Description
Purpose:

We’re a leading Investor Services group offering end-to-end services in administration, accounting, reporting, regulatory and compliance needs of the investment sector worldwide.

You must be equipped with basic accounting principles, pro-active, interactive, curious, quick learner, comfortable with numbers, attention to details, solution thinker and able to work independently.

What you’ll do
Core Responsibilities:
  • You’ll serve as the primary point of contact for designated Private Equity (PE) clients, providing high-quality service and proactive communication through phone and email regarding deliverables and timelines.
  • You’ll coordinate with internal support teams to ensure all client deliverables are completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.
  • You’ll review and provide feedback on financial statements, disclosures, capital call and distribution calculations/notices, and other ad hoc deliverables to maintain quality and compliance.
  • You’ll liaise with external auditors and support interim and year-end audit processes while ensuring deliverables align with governing agreements and regulatory requirements.
  • You’ll build strong client relationships and maintain a thorough understanding of Limited Partnership Agreements, Service Level Agreements, Fee Agreements, and other governing documents to ensure exceptional service delivery.

Qualifications
About you

Qualifications

  • You hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and are a CPA or possess an equivalent professional qualification.
  • You have 3 to 4 years of relevant accounting experience, with candidates possessing additional experience potentially considered for a Senior Accountant role.
  • You have proven experience managing client relationships and overseeing the timely delivery of client services and deliverables.
  • You possess intermediate Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel, including experience with Pivot Tables and data analysis.
  • You have knowledge of the private equity industry, which would be considered a strong advantage.
