Michael Page International (Hong Kong) Limited is seeking a Senior Finance Manager, USD Fund Accounting to oversee USD-denominated funds, cash management, and regulatory compliance across offshore entities.

The role requires fund accounting experience in financial services, Big 4 training, cross-border taxation knowledge, and the ability to lead audits and produce investor reports for LPs.

Qualifications

• Must have fund accounting or financial services background.
• Big 4 training and in-house PE/VC/hedge fund accounting experience are highly regarded.
• Strong knowledge of financial regulations and cross-border tax considerations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee fund accounting, bookkeeping, cash management, and settlement for USD-denominated funds and offshore entities.
• Manage tax compliance and regulatory filings across jurisdictions with cross-border taxation understanding.
• Design and enhance financial controls and treasury policies; monitor funding risks and regulatory adherence.
• Lead external audit engagements and coordinate with audit firms and stakeholders to complete audits.
• Prepare and deliver financial reports and investor disclosures to Limited Partners (LPs).
• Provide financial support throughout the fund lifecycle: fundraising, deployment, monitoring, valuation, and exits.
• Oversee Hong Kong entity finance operations and liaise with service providers, custodians, auditors, tax advisers, and regulators.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee fund accounting, bookkeeping, cash management, and settlement activities for USD-denominated funds and offshore entities.
• Manage tax compliance and regulatory filings across relevant jurisdictions, with a strong understanding of cross-border taxation and international tax regulations. Support tax planning initiatives to optimize fund and corporate structures.
• Design, implement, and continuously enhance financial control frameworks and treasury management policies. Monitor financial and operational risks associated with fund operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, internal audits, and periodic compliance reviews.
• Lead external audit engagements and coordinate with audit firms, service providers, and relevant stakeholders to ensure timely completion of statutory and fund audits.
• Prepare and deliver financial reports and investor disclosures to Limited Partners (LPs), addressing financial enquiries and maintaining transparent investor communications.
• Provide financial support throughout the fund lifecycle, including fundraising, capital deployment, portfolio monitoring, valuation support, and investment exit processes.
• Oversee the financial operations of Hong Kong entities and serve as the primary liaison with external service providers, including fund administrators, custodians, auditors, tax advisors, legal counsel, and regulatory bodies.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Finance Manager, USD Fund Accounting professional should have:

• Relevant academic qualifications in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Experience in fund accounting or financial services.
• Big 4 Trained
• In House PE or VC or Hedge Fund accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in financial software and tools.
• Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Good communication and collaboration abilities.
