Job summary

Société Générale in Hong Kong is seeking an experienced Java/Cloud developer to join our Asia technology team. You will master SG Agile practices and cloud platforms, and deliver technical solutions independently as an IC.

You will contribute to the technical roadmap, support the technology platform, and address production issues, while engaging with stakeholders across regions to understand and meet their needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, finance, engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong Java (Java 21+), Spring Boot and production-grade code delivery.
• Experience with Agile, TDD and continuous delivery (Jenkins, Sonar).
• Good knowledge of Cloud Native apps and Docker.
• Knowledge of MongoDB or PostgreSQL, Python 3.9+, Angular is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Master SG Agile based software development practices and SG cloud technology platforms.
• Deliver technical solutions independently as an individual contributor.
• Contribute to the technical roadmap, support platforms, and fix production issues.
• Participate in code reviews, application testing, releases, and Level3 production support.
• Enhance monitoring to reduce problem investigation and resolution time.
• Communicate and report to business stakeholders and IT peers across regions.
• Engage with stakeholders to understand technology needs and deliver accordingly.
