Job summary

Edelman is seeking a senior content account executive who can write and develop native English short and long-form content for multiple channels. You will understand accounts deeply and translate knowledge to media and client teams, while leveraging traditional PR tools and advising on strategies and tactics.

Responsibilities include client management, content creation across formats, and assisting with planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or above.
• 3-5 years experience in journalism, content, research or PR.
• Strong strategic thinking and problem solving skills.
• Good English language skillset; Chinese is a bonus.

A senior content account executive specializing in content must have high-level capability for writing and developing native English short and long-form multiformat content for multiple channels/media. They must combine this with comprehensive level of understanding of the accounts they work on - their business, products, markets, personnel, outside influencers, etc. They need to succinctly convey this knowledge to the media and client team members. They must also have a solid grasp of all traditional public relations tools and be able to recommend a variety of strategies and tactics to their clients. They must be able to work effectively and provide sound counsel with lower levels of client contacts.

Responsibilities

• Account/Client Management: Demonstrate understanding of key client information, fostering good client communication with an outgoing and flexible approach
• Content: Understands trends in supported industries; excels in crafting press releases, media bylines, blog/opinion articles, research reports, social media posts, video/visual content outlines, media briefing books, internal newsletters, etc.
• Planning: Assists with retainer and project planning

Requirements

• Bachelor degree or above;
• Relevant 3-5 year of working experience in journalism, content, research or public relations, experience in managing and executing editorial/content/ PR and marketing communications projects and campaigns;
• Strong strategic thinking and problem solving skills;
• Good anti-pressure ability
• Team player and high English language skillset, Chinese is a bonus
