Job summary

The Vocational Training Council (VTC) in Hong Kong seeks an Executive Officer I (Manager, Events) to plan, manage and coordinate high-profile events that advance institutional priorities and reputation. The role requires senior stakeholder engagement in English and Chinese (Putonghua preferred), cross-unit collaboration, mentoring junior staff, and hands-on event lifecycle management from design through on-site delivery.

Written tests in Chinese and English will follow shortlisting.

Qualifications

• A good Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications or related discipline.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Putonghua preferred).
• At least 10 years post-qualification executive experience in public relations and communications, preferably with high-profile events.

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage and coordinate strategic, high-profile events.
• Engage and liaise with senior internal and external stakeholders.
• Drive cross-unit collaboration and special projects related to events.
• Mentor junior colleagues to foster professionalism and excellence in event delivery.
