Job summary

An Engineering Group in Hong Kong is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead overseas environmental infrastructure projects from tendering through execution and handover. You will manage cross-functional teams, coordinate design, procurement, and field work, and ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence.

The role requires extensive experience in large-scale engineering, strong tendering skills, and the ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams across borders.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Professional qualification (MHKIE/CEng/MIET or equivalent) preferred.
• At least 15 years on large-scale engineering projects, with 8 in a managerial role.
• Experience in environmental facilities or water treatment projects preferred.
• Overseas plant project exposure highly preferred.
• Strong tendering experience and leadership abilities required.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills; travel as needed.

The Job

• Client: An Engineering Group
• Position: Senior Engineering Manager - Project Management & Tendering
• Responsibilities: Be the Team Lead for overseas environmental infrastructure, water treatment facilities projects andoversee the full project lifecycle - from tender preparation and bidding to execution, commissioning, and handover
  • Tendering - Lead the preparation of competitive tenders and proposals. Review tender documents, specifications, and drawings; perform quantity take-offs, risk assessments, and pricing strategies. Collaborate with estimating teams to develop accurate bids, including value engineering options. Negotiate contracts and subcontracts to optimize commercial outcomes.
  • Project Management - Lead the delivery of plant projects, including design coordination, installation, testing, commissioning. Manage project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards. Risk management and ensure compliance with relevant regulations, codes, and client requirements.
• $70-100K. 5-day work. Medical. Bonus

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or related disciplines
• Professional qualification preferred - MHKIE, CEng, MIET or equivalent
• Min. 15 years' experience in large-scale engineering projects of which 8 years in managerial level.
• Relevant experience in environmental facilities / water treatment plant or related projects is preferred.
• Overseas plant projects experience highly preferred.
• Good experience in tendering
