Job summary

Global Executive Consultants Ltd. on behalf of a public-listed client in Hong Kong seeks a high-caliber software design engineer. You will design, develop, implement and assure software for railway project works and contribute to interfacing with control systems.

The role covers GUI design (SVG), document management and coordination across multiple teams, including off-hours installations and commissioning. Strong design and coordination skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Design, develop, implement and assure software for railway project works.

Job description

Our client, a Public Listed Company, is looking for high-caliber person to fill the position.

Job Duties

• To provide design, software development, implementation and software assurance activities for project works for the Operating Railway.
• To undertake design of software control systems like station management system, main control systems, power control system, environmental control system, building automation system, depot management system, etc.
• To undertake design of system for interfacing with other communication and control systems like passenger information display system, closed-circuit television system (CCTV), public address system, power control system, environmental control system, fire panel, programmable logic controller and mimic display system.
• To participate on design of centralized alarms and surveillance system (CASS) for interfacing with other communication and alarming systems like CCTV, common fire alarms, etc.
• To participate in design and development on graphical user interface (GUI) like scalable vector graphics (SVG) etc.
• To design, manage, housekeep document/ source code and version control.
• To manage, coordinate and participate in installation, testing, commissioning and assurance activities with works performed in non-traffic hours.
• To submit documents, such as plans, specifications, drawings, method statements and reports.
• To perform design check, review and approval.
• To manage and coordinate with other dedicated parties, dedicated teammates or teams for design and implementation.
• To attend scheduled and ad-hoc design and project meetings.
