Job summary

AIA Hong Kong is seeking an experienced senior compliance professional to deputise the Head of Compliance & Risk, providing second-line oversight across compliance, risk management, and AML/CTF matters. You will ensure alignment with SFC/MPFA requirements, governance standards, and effective controls.

You will lead advisory activities, monitor regulatory changes, and drive a strong risk-aware culture across the organization in Hong Kong.

Qualifications

• Degree in Law, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Risk or related discipline.
• 12+ years’ senior and hands-on experience in compliance, investment governance and controls.
• Experience as MIC and in dealing with board matters preferred.

Responsibilities

• Advise and provide senior oversight on portfolio management, trading, investment operations, investment advisory and licensing matters to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Oversee and monitor conflicts of interest, staff personal dealing, gifts and entertainment, market conduct controls and best execution principles.
• Review and challenge business initiatives from compliance and risk perspectives; support senior management with governance and remediation.
• Monitor regulatory developments in Hong Kong and report implications to the company.
• Lead local risk management work, including risk assessments and coordination with risk committees; monitor KRIs and risk reporting.
• Oversee incident/breach management including root-cause analysis, remediation tracking and closure.
• Lead AML/CTF tasks and oversee related governance and escalation protocols.
