Job summary

HKEX - Exchange Square is seeking a high-calibre professional to manage operations for trading futures and options across asset classes, and to lead initiatives spanning strategy execution and project implementation in the Derivative Trading Operations team.

The role requires deep knowledge of derivatives markets, a minimum 12 years of relevant experience with at least 5 in management, strong communication in English and Chinese, and a proven ability to oversee system operations, risk controls

Qualifications

• University degree in Finance, Economics or related discipline.
• Deep understanding of derivatives products, market practices, and trading platforms.
• Sound knowledge of derivatives market operations and regulations.
• Minimum 12 years’ relevant experience, with at least 5 years in a management role.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in English and Chinese; Putonghua an advantage.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint; knowledge in Power BI, SQL and VBA an advantage.
• Shift duties required; prior shift experience is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth trading operations of the derivatives market (Work hours 2pm-11pm) by managing operational risks and providing services to Exchange Participants.
• Ensure activities comply with relevant regulations, rules and procedures.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain relations with Exchange Participants and stakeholders.
• Act as command centre for derivatives market communications with participants and external parties.
• Plan, coordinate and execute projects including system enhancements and product reviews.
• Streamline workflows and implement risk mitigation measures.
• Develop and review operating procedures and contingency plans.
• Keep abreast of international derivatives market trends.
