Job summary

CITIC CLSA is seeking a senior data project manager in Hong Kong to lead data initiatives for our CSI core client and product systems and a next-generation data platform.

The role involves analyzing user requirements, designing data models, ensuring timely delivery of enterprise data applications, and implementing data governance within an investment banking setting. Strong SQL skills, excellent English communication, and cross-functional collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or above in IT/Computer Science or data-related field.
• 10–15 years of experience in data project management, preferably in banking/finance.
• Strong understanding and modelling of financial product, client, and trade information.
• Strong data sense and critical thinking.
• Proficiency in SQL.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent team player, open to new ideas.
• Strong communication in written and verbal English; Mandarin proficiency is a plus.
• Knowledge of P&L/Revenue calculation and business intelligence analytics is a plus.
• Experience in data governance within the financial domain is a plus.
• Knowledge of Market Data and prior Market Data team experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Focus on CSI core client and product system, as well as our next-generation data platform.
• Lead data projects from analyzing and designing user requirements for our data systems, strengthening platform offerings, and implementing data governance and enterprise data applications.
• Ensure enterprise data platform and its applications are delivered according to timeline.
• Analyze data modeling product and client data in an investment banking setting.
• Design unifying data models for each class and be capable of independently finding solutions to data problems.
• Drive the buildout of enterprise data solutions to fulfill general business needs.
• Resolve operational issues and implement preventative measures.
