Job summary

APJ Software (Hong Kong) Company Limited is seeking a Senior Project Manager for Market Data projects, including Bloomberg/Refinitiv-like data platforms. You will lead data initiatives, design unified models, govern data assets, and ensure timely delivery within an investment banking context.

The role requires a strong background in data management, SQL proficiency, and experience with financial products, clients, and trades.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or above in IT/CS or Data.
• 10-15 years relevant experience in Data project management, preferably in banking/finance sector.
• Strong understanding and modelling of financial product, client, and trade information.
• Strong data sense and critical thinking.
• Strong proficiency in SQL.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent team player, open to new ideas.
• Strong communication skills in written and verbal English; Mandarin proficiency is a plus.
• Knowledge of P&L/Revenue calculation and business intelligence analytics is a plus.
• Experience in data governance within the financial domain is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead Data projects from analyzing and designing user requirements for data systems, strengthening platform offerings, and implementing data governance and enterprise data applications.
• Ensure enterprise data platform and its applications are delivered according to timeline.
• Analyze data modeling product and client data in an investment banking setting.
• Design unifying data models for each class and be capable of independently finding solutions to data problems.
• Drive the buildout of enterprise data solutions to fulfill general business needs.
• Resolve operational issues and implement preventative measures.
