Job summary

Global Talent Services Limited is seeking a Senior Business Analyst, Data Office for a major bank in Hong Kong. The role bridges business vision with technical engineering to design the Big Data Tag Factory and to drive CRM analytics, marketing automation, and regulatory reporting.

The candidate should bring extensive BA/DA experience, expert SQL, and hands-on Big Data tooling (Hadoop, Spark, Hive) or modern warehouses (Snowflake, Databricks), plus expertise in Tableau or Power BI dashboards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or a related quantitative discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or Product Owner in data-heavy environments.
• Proven track record launching data products, Big Data tag architectures, CRM systems, or marketing automation tools.
• Deep understanding of data value translation, CDP, and predictive analytics.
• Proficiency in SQL is mandatory; experience with Hadoop, Spark, Hive or modern data warehouses is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead conceptualization, requirements analysis, and design of the Big Data Tag/Label Factory.
• Partner with data engineers to translate large datasets into business tags and personas.
• Translate marketing strategies into functional specifications for marketing automation.
• Define audience segmentation mechanics and event-driven triggers for campaigns.
• Analyze data lifecycles to uncover insights on retention and engagement.
• Collaborate with CRM owners to maximize CLV via data-driven triggers and journeys.
• Document data definitions and KPIs with legal, compliance, and audit teams.
• Ensure data pipelines, lineage, and dashboards comply with audits and regulations.
• Act as Data Translator across business units, MarTech, and vendors.
• Create BRD, user stories, and ensure smooth UAT and delivery.
