HKPC - Hong Kong Productivity Council's Smart City Division seeks a seasoned leader to drive AI-enabled solutions for public sector and industry partners. You will oversee hands-on AI agent development, exploratory analytics, modelling, and delivery of multi-stakeholder projects.

Job Description

Who we are looking for:

What you'll do:

• Solution Development & Communication: Lead teams to identify opportunities, develop proposals and secure new business; oversee scope, resources and delivery of key projects, communicating solution value clearly.
• Technical Delivery: Lead and assure hands-on AI agent development, exploratory analytics, modelling and problem solving, covering data exploration, coding, validation and refinement.
• New Technology Integration & Proof-of-Concept Demo: Guide teams and mentor colleagues in integrating emerging AI and data technologies into demonstrations and proofs-of-concept that showcase feasibility, user value and implementation readiness.

You’ll be a good fit if you have/are:

• A postgraduate degree in science, engineering, economics, public administration or a related discipline.
• At least six years of full-time relevant experience, with a record of securing and delivering projects as project manager or solution lead; established government/public‑sector connections and Hong Kong government project experience. PMP, PRINCE2 or relevant ISO certifications are advantageous.
• Proven project leadership in AI agents, data analytics, statistical modelling, simulation or quantitative analysis of socio‑economic events.
• Practical expertise in generative AI agent development and GenAI‑assisted exploratory analytics, with hands‑on coding skills, preferably in Python and SQL.
• Broad knowledge of socio‑economic, industrial or commercial modelling, with the creativity to identify analytical solutions and critically validate findings.
• Sound knowledge in ontology‑based knowledge management and problem solving.
• Excellent written and spoken English, strong PowerPoint skills, and the ability to communicate complex solutions to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Candidates who can demonstrate knowledge of AI, or experience and ability to apply Generative AI tools in their work, will be preferred.

Note:

2. This is a fixed-term contract position for a period of 24 months subject to renewal.
