Job summary

MTR Corporation is seeking qualified professionals to join the Capital Works Business Unit (CWBU) to deliver sustainable transport solutions. You will manage E&M improvement works in an operating railway environment, lead cross-functional teams, and ensure projects meet schedules, budgets and safety standards.

The role demands a degree in Building Services, Electrical, Mechanical or related discipline, with 6+ years of relevant experience and familiarity with Railway Safety Rules.

Qualifications

• Degree in Building Services / Electrical / Mechanical or related discipline.
• Minimum 6 years' experience in managing E&M improvement projects, preferably in operating railway environments.
• Experience applying Railway Safety Rules for works in an operating railway environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage E&M improvement works in an operating railway environment, including ECS, electrical, fire, plumbing and drainage systems, and asset replacement works.
• Lead a cross-functional project team and coordinate with internal/external stakeholders across the project lifecycle.
• Oversee project management and contractor supervision to ensure on-time delivery within budget and standards.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for managing E&M improvement works in an operating railway environment, covering Environmental Control System (ECS), electrical installations, fire services installations, plumbing and drainage systems, and asset replacement works

• Lead a cross-functional project team comprising members from diverse disciplines and coordinate with both internal and external stakeholders to fulfill project management responsibilities across the entire project life cycle, including planning, conduct feasibility studies, review designs, execute site supervision, administer contracts and ensure project delivery

• Take charge of project management and contractor supervision to ensure timely completion of all tasks, within the budget and in compliance with all requisite standards and statutory requirements

Requirements

• Degree in Building Services / Electrical / Mechanical or a related discipline

• A minimum of 6 years' relevant experience in managing E&M improvement projects, preferably in an operating railway environment

• Experience in applying Railway Safety Rules for works implementation in an operating railway environment

• Strong commitment to teamwork, self-motivated and able to work under pressure

• Possession of Corporate Membership of a recognised professional institution is preferred

Remarks

• Appointment will be made on two-year renewable contract terms

• Candidates with less experience will be considered for the Construction Engineer - E&M Services position
