Job summary

Bank of China (Hong Kong) is seeking a Business Compliance and Operational Risk Assistant Manager to lead risk monitoring across SEA and Hong Kong markets.

You will coordinate control assurance reviews, provide expert guidance on manuals and due diligence, and drive remediation for identified risks.

The role requires 3+ years in compliance or risk within financial services, strong data analysis, and fluency in English and Chinese; a proactive, detail-oriented mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma or above in Business, Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Law, or related disciplines.
• Minimum of 3 years in Compliance, Audit, or Operational Risk in Banking/Financial Services.
• Strong understanding of banking operations and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks independently and meet deadlines.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Proficient in English and Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese).
• Proficiency in MS Office; VBA, SAS, or Python a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor the overall compliance and operational risk for the SEA and Hong Kong markets.
• Oversee audit rectification and track effectiveness.
• Oversee incident reporting and escalation processes.
• Conduct site visits to assess policy execution and identify risks.
• Analyze data and perform thematic reviews to spot trends.
• Support risk management lifecycle including manuals and due diligence.
