Our client is looking for an Senior Compliance Officer to join their Regulatory Compliance team.
Responsibilities:
Monitor changes in regulatory requirements (e.g., HKMA guidelines, SPM modules, Circulars) and evaluate their operational impact on our business and reporting practices.
Provide practical compliance advice to cross-functional teams (Finance, IT, Operations) regarding statutory reporting obligations and regulatory standards.
Assist in managing regulatory examinations, inquiries, and routine compliance reviews.
Review and evaluate data governance frameworks, data lineage, and validation logic to ensure the accuracy and integrity of regulatory submissions.
Conduct compliance testing and thematic reviews on reporting systems, data reconciliation workflows, and audit trails.
Identify data compliance gaps, track remediation action plans, and ensure timely resolution of audit/compliance findings.
Review, update, and maintain regulatory compliance policies, procedures, and manuals in response to regulatory updates.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Law, Risk Management, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
3–5 years of solid regulatory compliance, internal audit, or operational risk experience within retail/commercial banking or financial institutions.
In-depth understanding of HKMA regulations, Banking Ordinance requirements, and statutory reporting principles.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking capabilities.
Professional fluency in written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin).
