Job summary

ACCA Careers is seeking a seasoned Compliance professional in Hong Kong to manage compliance risk across banking activities. You will lead evaluations, investigations, and the development of robust compliance plans and standards, while liaising with regulators, coordinating inspections, and ensuring timely reporting.

The role requires deep knowledge of HKMA and SFC guidelines, with hands-on exposure to regulator interactions. Strong English and Chinese communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Accounting, Law, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 6-8 years of compliance experience in banking.
• Strong knowledge of HKMA, SFC and banking-related regulations.

Responsibilities

• Identify and participate in compliance risk management, evaluations, investigations, and formulate compliance plans and objectives.
• Liaise with local regulators, coordinate responses to inspections, maintain reporting obligations, and resolve inquiries.
• Track regulatory changes and act as primary compliance liaison for multiple business units.
• Update and improve compliance documents to reflect current regulations and best practices.
• Complete periodic reports and assessments in alignment with HKMA, SFC and other regulators.

• Complete periodic reports, statements, and assessments, proactively following up on matters required by the HKMA, SFC, and other regulatory bodies.
