Job summary

iAdvantage Ltd. is seeking a senior testing and commissioning lead to plan and execute detailed testing activities for complex project systems. You will coordinate with project teams, contractors, and vendors, manage documentation, and report progress to senior management.

The role emphasizes adherence to specifications, industry standards, and safety, with a focus on delivering timely handover-ready installations in data-centre or critical infrastructure environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering or construction management field.
• Minimum 15 years of construction/engineering experience focusing on commissioning.
• Data center experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement detailed testing and commissioning plans, schedules, and procedures for all project systems.
• Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and vendors to conduct testing and commissioning activities.
• Track progress and prepare detailed reports on outcomes, including issues, risks, or deviations.
• Present regular progress reports, dashboards, and performance metrics to senior management and stakeholders.
• Ensure all testing and commissioning activities comply with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct inspections, performance tests, and functional checks on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety systems.
• Manage all relevant documentation, including test reports, commissioning certificates, and compliance records.
• Identify technical issues during testing phases and collaborate with engineering teams for resolutions.
• Ensure seamless integration of all systems and confirm operational readiness before project handover.
• Provide technical guidance and leadership to the testing and commissioning team.
• Implement and maintain strict health and safety protocols during all testing and commissioning activities.
• Drive continuous improvement in testing and commissioning processes to improve efficiency and quality.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and other stakeholders to provide updates and resolve queries.

Education

Monitoring and Reporting

• Track the progress of testing and commissioning tasks to ensure adherence to timelines and milestones.
• Prepare detailed reports on outcomes, including issues, risks, or deviations for timely resolution.
• Present regular progress reports, dashboards, and performance metrics to senior management and stakeholders.

Compliance and Quality Assurance

• Ensure all testing and commissioning activities comply with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

Stakeholder Communication

• Liaise effectively with clients, consultants, and other stakeholders to provide updates and resolve queries related to testing and commissioning activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Service Engineering, or Construction Management or equivalent trade experience.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in construction or engineering, with a focus on commissioning, preferably with a general contractor, MEP engineering firm, or consultancy. Data center experience is preferred.
• Strong understanding of construction practices, and commissioning phases (L0–L6), with the ability to align deliverables to milestone requirements.
• Ability to assess risk, schedule impact, and safety considerations related to commissioning activities.
• Proven experience integrating fire/life safety systems with MEP/FP Systems.
• Flexible and analytical mindset with a proactive, hands-on, and detail-oriented approach
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Responsible, perseverant, able to work independently
