Job summary

Green Tomato Limited is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer in Hong Kong to lead and collaborate with engineering teams to architect, implement, and deploy enterprise-scale cloud solutions. You will design modular cloud-based systems, ensure data security and compliance, and mentor junior engineers.

The role requires 5+ years in cloud or application development with senior experience, strong Docker/Kubernetes expertise, and hands-on IaC with Terraform across AWS, GCP, and Azure.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in Cloud or Application Development with at least 2 years in a senior role.
• Advanced experience with container orchestration — Docker and Kubernetes — in production environments.
• Deep knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins).
• Expert-level proficiency across AWS, GCP, and Azure, with multi-cloud strategies and migration projects.
• Advanced experience in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, including lifecycle and state management.
• Extensive experience with SQL and NoSQL databases and designing highly scalable systems.
• Expert knowledge of High Availability, Disaster Recovery, and Business Continuity best practices.
• Advanced observability and monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Elastic Stack.
• Foundational to intermediate knowledge of MLOps and AI infra including LLM API integration.
• Demonstrated leadership, communication, and mentoring skills for cloud strategy.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and provide technical direction for engineering teams; define cloud strategy and drive innovation across initiatives.
• Architect and design enterprise-scale cloud infrastructure with HA, scalability, performance, and security best practices.
• Build and maintain modern DevOps workflows, CI/CD pipelines, automation tooling.
• Manage IT infrastructure across on-premises and hybrid multi-cloud environments for high availability.
• Enforce cloud security policies and best practices across data and operations.
• Lead resolution of complex infrastructure vulnerabilities and production issues with preventive measures.
• Conduct system reviews and lead technology evaluation initiatives to drive improvements.
• Serve as primary technical contact for clients and vendor relationships for cloud recommendations.
• Design and deploy cloud infra for AI/ML workloads including GPU-accelerated compute and data pipelines.
• Implement and maintain MLOps pipelines for model training, versioning, deployment, and monitoring.
