About the Role

We are looking to hire an experienced senior business development professional for the Fiduciary Business Development ("FIDBD") Department. The candidate will be responsible for using contacts within the network to achieve team and firm growth revenue targets, generate new business opportunities and pitch for new business within the Greater China market.

Who You'll Be Working With

As part of the BD team, the candidate will be reporting into the Hong Kong Managing Director.

What You'll Be Doing

• Responsible for generating new business, prompting full scope of services offered by Ascentium Fiduciary.
• Develop and manage a pipeline of business referrals from professionals in the asset management, private banking, legal, accounting and trust & corporate services sector.
• Preparation of pitch/proposal/collaboration documents and communication with professional intermediaries and clients in respect of the formation of new corporate or fund structures.
• Drafting engagements letters as well as managing client onboarding process to ensure client files are prepared in compliance with HK and internal AML rules and standards.
• Responsible for mapping out firm’s growth strategies in Hong Kong, Taiwan and the southern parts of China and developing on the ground business development strategies.
• Collaborate with internal teams including law firm partners to ensure alignment and support for business development initiatives.
• Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time, - examples might include local event organisation assistance, marketing exercises, Key Client initiatives, local elements to compliance projects etc.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s or above with 5+ years of experience in client facing / business development role in the corporate and fund services industry.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in Putonghua and English.
• Trackable and proven record on business development success with lawyers, bankers, asset managers and corporate services providers, customer portfolio management and team performance.
• High level of self‑motivation and ability to work within a team while maintaining focus on objectives.
• Highly organised with the ability to effectively juggle matters, ensuring each reaches its conclusion.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Understanding of AML and Compliance regulation is required.
