Job summary

Agricultural Bank Of China (HK Branch) is seeking a seasoned Compliance Officer to conduct regulatory reviews, assess control effectiveness, and advise on policy improvements. The role requires deep knowledge of HK banking regulations and strong communication skills.

You will participate in training, reporting, and coordinating with head office to ensure compliance across departments. The ideal candidate holds a degree in accounting/finance or law with 3–5 years of experience, fluent in English

Qualifications

• Degree or above with major in Accounting, Banking, Finance, Law or related disciplines.
• Minimum 3–5 years relevant experience in compliance review in banks/regulators.
• Well versed with the Code of Banking Practice, Banking Ordinance, SFO, HKMA, IA guidelines/circulars, DPS and other regulatory requirements.
• Detail-oriented with good organization, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to influence and work collaboratively with colleagues and across different departments.
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (preferably fluent in Mandarin).
• Obtain qualification of ECF_Compliance is preferable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct periodic and ad hoc checking on the bank’s business and operations to obtain reasonable assurance that key controls are in place and the bank has complied with relevant laws, regulations, codes and bank’s standards from a regulatory compliance perspective
• Follow up the rectification progress of findings on compliance review
• Provide comments on policies and procedures of business and operations units from a regulatory compliance perspective
• Provide advice on compliance related matters
• Assist in compliance related training
• Prepare reports to senior management and head office
• Assist in departmental matters and provide administrative support
• Handle ad hoc assignments
