Job summary

Binance in Hong Kong is seeking a backend engineer to design, develop, and evolve core backend systems for Social products, focusing on performance, reliability, and scalability. You will collaborate with product, operations, algorithm, and client engineering teams to translate complex business requirements into clear, reusable, and scalable system capabilities.

This role emphasizes strong CS fundamentals, experience with distributed systems and microservices, and the ability to balance business

Qualifications

Proficiency in Java or Go and CS fundamentals.
Experience in large-scale concurrent online systems.
Ability to balance business value with technical cost.
Experience with AI-assisted development workflows.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and evolve core backend systems for Social products.
Improve performance, stability, availability, and overall technical quality.
Collaborate with product, operations, algorithm, and client engineering teams to deliver innovative projects.
Translate complex business requirements into clear, reusable, and scalable system capabilities.
Improve service governance, data pipelines, monitoring and alerting, incident response, and engineering productivity.
Identify technical bottlenecks as the business evolves and drive medium- to long-term technical planning.
Explore a Human + AI collaborative development model, using AI to improve requirements analysis, coding, testing, troubleshooting, and delivery efficiency.
Participate in technical design reviews, code reviews, and engineering capability building to continuously improve software quality.
