Sun Life invites a seasoned Assistant Manager to drive AML compliance initiatives across Asia, coordinating data governance, control enhancements and regulatory alignment. You will partner with Compliance, Operations, Technology and Data teams to strengthen screening and monitoring capabilities while delivering concise governance reporting.

The role emphasizes cross-jurisdictional collaboration, project leadership and risk-based remediation to protect clients and enterprise standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in accounting, finance, law or related business discipline.
• Minimum 6–8 years of experience in financial crime compliance, risk management, data governance, or related control functions.
• Experience leading complex cross-functional projects involving compliance, technology, operations, and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver regional financial crime data, technology and control initiatives across Asia with a focus on AML data governance and data completeness.
• Oversee remediation activities and support safe implementation of financial crime system enhancements.
• Provide governance, management reporting and project-management discipline for Name Screening, Transaction Monitoring, and Customer Risk Rating capabilities.
