Job summary

Leadingnation is seeking an experienced Algo trading systems developer in Hong Kong. The role involves translating business needs into robust technical solutions and delivering practical, scalable trading platforms.

You will collaborate with traders and developers to craft, optimize, and support algorithmic strategies across the full lifecycle. The ideal candidate has 10+ years in trading system development, strong C# skills, and deep knowledge of Equity trading in Asia, with Oracle/SQL

Qualifications

• Degree or above in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
• 10+ years of experience in trading system development, with a focus on algorithmic trading.
• Solid development experience in C# or other OO languages.
• Strong understanding of Equity trading in Asian markets.
• Expertise in Oracle and SQL development, including query optimization.
• Knowledge of machine learning and AI theory is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders to translate business needs into functional and technical solutions.
• Analyse problems, evaluate impacts, and propose practical solutions with trading teams.
• Provide expert support for Algo systems and resolve incidents timely.
• Monitor systems for performance and availability.
• Perform root cause analysis and drive long-term fixes with dev teams.
• Plan and execute system upgrades with minimal trading disruption.
• Develop, optimize and enhance algorithmic trading strategies.
• Collaborate with Algo developers on end-to-end lifecycle of Algo and Analytic systems.
• Work with market data, connectivity, and execution management projects.
• Resolve operational issues and implement preventative measures.
