Job summary

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
• 10+ years in trading-system development, preferably with algorithmic trading.
• Proficiency in C# or other OO languages.
• Strong understanding of equity trading in Asian markets.
• Experience with Oracle databases and advanced SQL.
• Knowledge of ML/AI theory is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent English; Chinese is an advantage.

Job description

• Analyze business issues, assess system impacts, and collaborate with development and trading teams to propose practical solutions aligned with market demands, client needs, and strategic product direction.
• Provide expert support for the Algo system, addressing user inquiries, troubleshooting problems, and resolving incidents promptly.
• Monitor systems proactively to ensure optimal performance and availability.
• Conduct root cause analysis for incidents, document findings, and work with development teams to implement long‑term solutions.
• Assist in planning and executing system upgrades and enhancements, ensuring minimal disruption to trading activities.
• Deliver insights and technical solutions to address business challenges.
• Develop, refine, and enhance algorithmic trading strategies.
• Collaborate with a team of Algo developers on Algo and Analytic systems throughout the full development lifecycle.

Requirements

• Degree or above in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
• Over 10 years of experience in trading system development, preferably with expertise in algorithmic trading.
• Strong development experience in C# or other object‑oriented programming languages.
• Solid understanding of equity trading in Asian markets.
• Expertise in relational databases such as Oracle, with advanced proficiency in SQL development, including complex query optimization.
• Knowledge of machine learning and AI algorithm theory is a plus.
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills, with a background in computer science, engineering, or related fields.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English; proficiency in Chinese is an advantage.
