Job summary

UBS is seeking a Senior Developer for the Equity Derivatives front office in Hong Kong/Singapore. You will architect and deliver a global RFQ, auto-pricing and electronic trading platform using Java and AI to automate workflows.

You will translate business and regulatory requirements into automated solutions, build observability, monitor production health, and mentor teammates while contributing to a strong engineering culture.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in the Equity Derivatives asset class.
• Excellent Java software development skills, ideally with exposure to real-time, low-latency pricing systems.
• Hands-on technical expertise with demonstrable AI experience across software engineering, automation, analytics or trading workflows.
• Take an automated approach to testing to ensure delivery of high-quality solutions.
• Experience establishing and exploiting DevOps capabilities.
• A strong communicator with experience working in a front-office environment, facing off to the business.
• Curiosity about how AI can improve building, delivering and optimizing workflows with sound judgment.

Responsibilities

• Architect and deliver UBS' new global equity options RFQ, auto-pricing and electronic trading platform.
• Collaborate with business users to translate complex requirements into automated solutions.
• Leverage AI to automate business flows and deliver analytics and signals.
• Apply software engineering practices to ensure quality, security, reliability and compliance.
• Build observability, monitor production health, resolve incidents and address root causes.
• Share AI, technical and domain knowledge, mentor colleagues and contribute to engineering culture.
